Technique always looks better when the weight is light. A lifter can move through warm-up sets with perfect bar path, strong positioning, and complete control. The squat looks clean. The bench press touches exactly where it should. The deadlift leaves the floor without any visible breakdown. Then the weight gets heavy. The chest begins to fall in the squat. The bench press drifts toward the face. The hips shoot up in the deadlift. Positions that looked automatic with lighter weights suddenly become difficult to maintain. That does not mean the athlete forgot how to lift. It means the load exposed something that lighter weight could not.

Heavy Weight Exposes Weaknesses
